30 Rounds of 3D
3D is an ability which has been getting an increasing demand in the creative and publicity industries. However, it is also complex and difficult to master. Therefore, in order to learn how to use Cinema 4D, and inspired in Beeple_crap’s daily work, I started a 30-day challenge to start working with a 3d animation program.
The goal of this challenge: learning a new skill to the best of my ability and creating a 3D animation or illustration before midnight every day. I had to use a different technique or exercise daily.
As days went by, I realized the greatest difficulties one faces when doing a challenge such as this one are, actually, in our minds. Every day I doubted whether I would find the necessary time and energy to carry out the task.
I began with basic and simple exercises in order to create momentum. The first time, the project started taking shape, which motivated me. Naturally, I started doing more complex exercises every time. There were times when I even did 2 projects the same day because the first exercise I chose was too complex, so I had to swap for an easier one.
As the end of the challenge approached, I realized I had reached a sort of pace. I had cultivated a creative habit for my daily life. The most satisfying result was, undoubtedly, getting rid of the mental barrier of not believing you can achieve something because you think you do not have the necessary resources. In the end, for me, it all goes back to sitting down and working on what you want to become a reality.
