Music Battles:
The future of music
We developed a digital campaign with conceptual fashion films featuring the main artists of the platform for the launch of the innovating Music Battles app. Each piece had to portray the artists in an original, impactful fashion. Through storytelling we had to build a progression which culminated with the artist being presented as part of the app.
Director Ro Bonilla and Creative Director Jorge Marrufo created a basic structure that consisted of teasing the artist, creating a progression and finally, presenting them.
Using this structure as a foundation, I built an image progression starting with some features of the artist or their silhouette. By using characteristic actions and moments for each person, I proposed a progression supported by a powerful soundtrack and a few blending mode on the existing image.
This allowed for playing within the limits of the established aesthetics. For the final presentation, I used the images I believed the most powerful, and I supported them with post-production tools such as optics compensation so as to reach the climax in the most impactful way that was possible.
